Simpson pressures when the track turns to powder
Follow-on from Tess’s westbound report. When the corrugations go to talc, do you drop further or just slow down and accept the shake?

I slowed down first. When the tyre still looked unhappy I dropped a little inside the guide’s sand band, then aired up before rock. I did not chase a number for a story.
Powder plus speed is how you rattle a vehicle to pieces. Pressure is only one lever.
