Looking for formed forest roads within a couple of hours of Sydney that stay educational: corrugations, a shallow crossing after rain, a place to practise airing down without an audience.
I pointed him at the NSW travel hub and the tread lightly page. Want lived notes, not a trophy list.

I would rather send them to a club skills day on a known forest road than a “secret” pin. Formed, legal, and a place they can air down without an audience is the brief.
Check the forestry page that morning. A stock Hilux is plenty if the driver walks the wet clay.
