High Country long weekend — Wonnangatta access after rain

Left Mansfield Saturday after a Friday night dump. Parks Victoria notes were clearer than the pub: a couple of spurs were still listed as 4WD only and greasy. We turned around at a clay pinch rather than winch for a photo.

Snow gums, ruts, and a river crossing that was a crossing and not a swim. I would send a competent novice with a rated point and a calm passenger. I would not send a brand-new lift on highway tyres.
